Manila submerge by flood

Philippines is a tropical country and is situated near the equator. It has been bombarded by countless typhoons in the past two months and the recent one was "TYPHOON GENER", living debris of damaged properties, crops and thousands homeless.

Gener has left the premises of the country and went up to the southern part living the soil wet and saturated. No tropical depression has been spotted within the Philippines area of responsibility but heavy rains kept on pouring for the past four days now due to southwest monsoon.

Flood water easily build up for it has nowhere to go for the soil was saturated during the previous typhoon. Manila, the capital city of the Philippines was literally submerge making it a "water world".

Classes from all levels were cancelled, business establishments were closed, city streets are turned to lakes and countless missing and could be dead by now, damaged to properties because of the flood could reach to billions of peso.

We are lucky here in Davao City for we are just experiencing scattered rain showers. Let us help our brethren in any way we can by giving canned goods, used clothes etc. to ease their burden from the devastation that the southwest monsoon has left them.
