27th Kadayawan 2012

We woke up as early as three in the morning to prepare for the float parade. It is a yearly tradition that our company joins in this king of all festivals "The 27th Kadayawan 2012". The Floats theme is Mardegras (a street party in Brazil) wherein beautiful girls would ride on the float dancing and drum beaters to accesorize the ambiance, but does not deviate from the Kadayawans theme which is harvests and bounty.

The float was adorned with endemic fruits and flowers and the queen of all flowers which is only found in Davao City, the waling-waling.

A lot of tourists came to see and experienced the Kadayawan festival. Photographers took pictures and we can hear people screaming from behind that our float was one of a kind and is a sure winner in today's entry (how I wish).

The parade commenced at 8:30 a.m. and ended at around 11:30 a.m.. The sun was up and the lash of the noon day heat was hot. Exhausted but not bitten by the suns ray for we had a good time accompanying our float and very proud to join in today's Kadayawan festival.
