How to spot fake Oakley Sunglasses

Imitations are every where, from pencils to apparels and branded accessories. These knockoff items are produced and reproduced by as much as millions in quantity to be sold to other countries for they are affordable and cheap and the country that is best in imitating branded products is China. The question is, How long will the purchased item lasts?

Lets take for example Oakley sunglasses. Oakley is renowned world wide for its durability and aerodynamic design that fits every athlete from different types of sports, and not to mention the endorser and advocacy fighter for cancer, Lance Armstrong.

Spotting the fake from the authentic is tricky, but here are the marks in differentiating the two. Authentic Oakley sunglasses, are made in the U.S.A. never in China, Vietnam or any other country. Thus "MADE IN U.S.A.", should appear embossed on the inside arm of the sunglasses. Take a close look at the logo of the nose piece on the frame, fake ones does'nt have this or they might but to check its genuity, take a rubber eraser and rub on the surface, if it fades then it's fake. Real Oakley sunglasses are made from high quality durable plastics and metals. This is self explanatory, authentic ones are much heavier than the knockoff . Compare the color as well, real Oakley are vibrant in color on the other hand the imitation is dull. The letter "O" which represents Oakley itself is embeded on the outer part of the arm and colored yellow. Time pass and the color might wearoff but the logo will be there forever.

Price may differ, knockoff items are much cheaper than the branded ones but the comfort and satisfaction that you will get are incomparable. Durability is one thing to consider. The item bought will stay longer and will serve its purpose one hundred percent.
