Plastic ban in Davao City

I am living in Davao City, Philippines south of Manila which is the capital city. I know you are well aware of the status of my country which belongs to the third world. When we speak of third world, it is a fact that ninety percent of its inhabitants are poor, living in shanties, on top of close and open canals and under the bridge with no private rest rooms in their dwellings, literally crowding the cities to the point suffocating the metrtopolis.

With this scenario, the main problem is waste management. Though we have waste treatment facilities, the ninety percent or more of these city dwellers throw their waste and waste materials (bio degradable & non biodegradable) in canals and water ways sending it to the open sea.

Recent news of typhoon Gener greatly affects Manila and other parts of the country because of the storm surge complimented by the moonsoon winds that returns the non biodegradable waste (plastics / styrofoam) to mainland Manila. Metropolis was flooded causing heavy traffics, suspension of classes from all levels, destruction of houses, sickness and worst death. Many are left homeless and at the mercy of the National Government and private sectors waiting for aide and assistance.

We dont want this to happen in Davao!!!! The local government has banned plastic and polystyrene use as food and beverage containers which temporarily close the business establishments selling plastics.

I am very grateful that the city ordinance was approved for it will help Davao City and hopefully the rest of the Philippines be a livable place, free from plastic containers and flood.

Statue of Joe Paterno

Football is one of the greatest sports in this planet. It has been cheered yelled and even booed upon by many spectators young and old alike for it gives a different rush of adrenaline. From this sport came out a name that stands out among the best and became eventually a well celebrated man, he is Joe Paterno. Joe or joepa as he is commonly known is the head coach of  Penn State Nittany Lions for nearly 46 years, from 1966 until 2011.

Joe Paterno, the name that has lead his team to numerous victories is also synonymous to controversy. He was accused of covering sexual abuses and failing to protect children from Jerry Sandusky (assistant coach). His tenure as head coach went down the drain for he was fired.

22nd of July, news came in stating that the statue of Joe Paterno, the land mark in Pennsylvania State University was literally removed for tension that indicated Paterno's involvement was more than just a cover up.

It's such a shame, after all the recognitions that he has achieved, everything went down the drain stripping him to a mere mortal, but his records and being a hall of famer will always be immortalized in the annals of football history.

Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith divorced

I was reading the  latest news in Hollywood and was shocked that Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith are getting a divorce. I mean its just but natural for Hollywood couples part ways but being married for fifteen years is something. It's like giving almost seventy five percent of your life to your partner, and with a snap of a finger everything is gone.

Getting a divorce is trending, a couple days back was the breakup of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes due to the rumored Scientology belief  that started a wild fire in the relationship of the couple.

Going back to Antonio and Melanie, rumor has it that the culprit of the shaky relation was a nanny....

Is getting a divorce apt for them to move on?

Jennifer Aniston Health Buff at 40

Almost all inhabitants in this planet are well aware of getting physically fit, but are they doing the right thing to achieve the right body mass index. I guess it would be roughly 30 percent of the whole populace doing the right thing and the rest fall short to their expectations.

Lets take an example of one of the hottest celebrity stars in Hollywood in the name of Jennifer Aniston. Jen is forty plus but still looking good and sexy.

Recently, she was advice to at least shed 30 pounds. She had a hard time for she was doing it the wrong way, until she met an instructor that helped her in her endeavor of loosing excess body weight and fat.

Jen eliminated or stream down her carb intake and went to consuming fibers and fruits. At first she was struggling but as days pass, she was able to adapt to her system and eventually developed the liking for salads and healthy protein which are rich in omega3 (fish).

Jennifer Aniston regularly hits the gym and lift some weights. She also do pilates to enhance her flexibility and balance.

Kate Upton the reason for Justin Verlander’s bad performance

A few days back I have written an article about Kate Upton being a sex siren and how her career soared by being a bikini model. I molded and depicted her as a young, free-spirited, flirt, liberated young girl who really knows how to flaunt her God-given, curvaceous body. I mean it is really not an issue if men would drool seeing her, but losing a baseball game is another thing.

Detroit Tigers lose their game because of the bad performance of their pitcher, Justin Verlander. It is quite odd for a seasoned pitcher to give up four hits and walk two. Verlander was loved by his fans because of its superb pitching ability and stingy moves on the mound. The Verlander that was once was is not present during the game. He was physically  present but mentally in wonderland.

Rumor has it that Kate Upton was the reason for Justin Verlander’s bad performance. It was said, that the two were seen hanging out last Thursday and Friday respectively before the game in close proximity. I don’t know what happened to Justin or what Kate did to Justin and place the whole team in jeopardy. It was clear that Kate stole something that is rightfully Justins’. It must be returned and returned in an instance to bring back the sanity of Verlander and save Detroit Tigers from going down the drain.

Going back in time, in every mans failure there is a woman behind, Samson loss his strength because of Delilah cutting his hair, the great Alexander failed to proceed in conquiring the rest of the world because he fell in love with Egypt and its reigning queen Cleopatra, the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos never stood a chance in extending his term as president for his wife Imelda Marcos trig a coup d’etat.

I don’t blame Kate Upton for having been blessed with great physique that mesmerize men nor blame Justin Verlander from performing badly in the last game.  They are just two individuals caught in a whirlwind that compliment the rule of magnetism.

I don’t agree with the notion that Kate is a jinx , I mean if you could only see the beautiful body of Ms. Upton that is complimented with an angelic face for sure it could also spell a difference in a mortals perspective.

She is one mortal that is enveloped by the aura of a goddess making her the obsession of every mans fantasy.

I was surfing the net a few days ago before the fourth of July, and I came across with the hottest girl ever to take the center stage as a singer. She is funky, fashionista in her own way, and I think a lot of you will agree with me, that she is the latest girl to depict Barbie and she is Katy Perry.

Who among us would not recognize this talented woman with her antiques and prowess in  her singing ability. I mean she can really rock the house down and  make the audience raise the roof.

One of her latest singles “firework”, has top the billboard chart for more than two weeks and has a surging current that affects the airwaves of Asia and the rest of the world after its release and not to mention the timely celebration of America’s fourth of July.

Katy Perry is an icon in the pop music and almost everybody, young and old alike are living her style, copying every inch in her body, from the colorful dyed hair down to her elegant and classy pedicure.

Kate Upton, does this name ring a bell? I guess it does for she is one of the many angelic faces and curvaceous body that is sought forth by many magazines in the industry. Recently, Kate had her pictorial in GQ Magazine that is very provocative, sensual, young and oozing with sexiness. She was  lying on a green grass carpet wearing a swim suit that is elegantly embroidered but very classy. Everything fell to its proper place and complimented Kate’s aura of a free-spirited teen.

Kate, in her 20′s is a model by profession and don’t be surprised if you see her dancing in some of her guestings for she is a natural-born dancer.

Kate Upton’s pictures often gets attention both by onlookers and photographers because of the choices of her wardrobe that are skimpy and naughty and not to mention the way she flaunts her assets and flashing them either by intention or a mere mishap during the session. “I grew up in Florida, most often I’m in my tight jeans riding horses and wearing bathing suits so it’s quite normal for me.” “I understand why men like me and I don’t blame  them for that in fact it flatters me to have stalkers.”

I have seen Kate Upton’s pictures and as far as I am concerned, they are quite provocative and sensual but on the other side, I would give credit to her for she is young and just having fun being a teen and lets face it. She is a bombshell that’s ready to explode by flaunting what she has to offer.

Kate will be in the lime light for a long period of time. Her career will soar high for she is a goddess that took the form of an immortal. Living, breathing and walking among us making men mesmerize by her beauty making them wanting to see, touch even in a magazine.

A few years from now, it is possible that Kate will not only be modeling but at the same time endorsing apparel from top caliber designers and having her signature line of clothes. For sure swimsuit will not be moved in the sideline for it is the line that best compliment her being a model.
